Beautiful, large Louis XV-style antique fireplace, made out of a Belgian deep-red-brown, warm toned, marble. Ca.1875. This marble shows the real softiness through curvacous shapes within the fortitude of marble. A nuanced and sensual interplay of beauty and strength. It has a massive frieze with an a-symmetrical cartouche, which makes a mantel always a bit more special. Also shells at the endblocks above the curved jambs. The fireplace is in a good, original condition. Will be delivered with old marble floortiles to make a frontfloor, can be Carrara or Noir de Mazy. Also in stock: Original Louis XV foyertiles, probably the best option if you go for a real open fire. Worldwide shipping. Delivery in Europe can be done by Antique Fireplaces First: 'In House Delivery'.
